Undergraduate Students
An undergraduate student on probation whose cumulative and semester GPAs fall below a 2.0 will automatically be dismissed from his/her program and the University. This designation will be notated on the transcript. An undergraduate student will not be dismissed prior to attempting a minimum of 20 semester hours of coursework.
The dismissal from the University is for a minimum of one year. After one year, the student may apply for re-admission to the University in the same or different program or register as a non-degree seeking student.
A student who has been dismissed from the University under this policy will have ten working days to submit an appeal for Academic Reinstatement. For full details on the undergraduate dismissal policy, please refer to the Undergraduate Appeal of Academic Dismissal #340.045.
