FAFSA isn’t the only way apply for financial aid. Explore other programs that could help pay for your education.
University and Private Scholarship
Private scholarships and scholarships offered directly from FIU can provide additional funding for educational expenses not covered by federal and state financial aid you may be receiving. These scholarships have their own applications, requirements and award amounts.
Bright Futures Scholarship
Bright Futures is a state scholarship program for high-achieving Florida students. You must apply beginning October 1 during your senior year in high school to receive the Bright Futures Scholarship. This application is separate from the FAFSA.
TEACH Grant
The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant, or TEACH Grant, provides funds to students who are completing or plan to complete course work needed to begin a career in teaching.
In order to qualify for the TEACH Grant you must Submit the FAFSA, but you must also express your interest in obtaining the TEACH Grant by submitting the TEACH Grant Request Form.
